Many of you received an email today from David Beck, President and CEO of Kentucky Venues, that indicates a decision has already been made by the Kentucky State Fair Board (KSFB) to change the governance of the World's Championship Horse Show from the United States Equestrian Federation (USEF). While this is true from their original vote on February 15th, we believe this email is simply an acknowledgment to those that took the time to express their feelings to the KSFB.
There is an open KSFB meeting scheduled on Thursday, March 28th at 10 a.m. in the Boardroom of the Kentucky International Convention Center in Louisville where ASHBA has been told that the issue will be addressed again with an opportunity to address the KSFB. ASHBA plans to be there to represent the association and its members. We encourage you to attend or to respond to Mr. Beck’s email should you desire. Please copy everyone on the original email so you have a chance for your voice to be heard.
