Morgan Grand National Update On New Coliseum

The Grand National & World Championship Morgan Horse Show is one step closer to the beginning of a new era as progress on the new state-of-the-art coliseum in Oklahoma City continues on schedule.
C. A. Lee, III and Kelly McFaul joined Oklahoma City leaders today, March 27, 2004, for the Topping-Out Ceremony of the MAPS 3 and 4 OKC Fairgrounds Coliseum. Prior to the ceremony, attendees were invited to sign a large banner that will hang from the rafters of the new coliseum.
The 216,164-square-foot coliseum will be operated by Oklahoma State Fair, Inc. at the OKC Fairgrounds. The coliseum is scheduled to be completed in mid-2025. The Jim Norick Arena will continue to host events, just as it has since 1965, until the new coliseum opens.
“There never has been a more important, exciting time to be a part of our great Morgan family,” said MGN Committee member C. A. Lee, III. “We look forward to celebrating our 50th and final year in the Jim Norick Arena this October and we are even more excited to move into this amazing new coliseum in 2025!”
